A Short Selection of My Videos
As an artist, I chose filmmaking as one of my mediums of expression. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to bring to light my concepts and tell my stories. These projects would've been impossible without the help and support of many people collaborating with me to share their expertise and resources.
Director’s Reel
Created Commons
Created Commons was a two weekend festival produced by LeLaVision in partnership with the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs. This video captures select dance and music performances, highlighting the energy, movement, and community spirit of the event.
Novella
Inspired by a romance novelist’s work, this video pairs a sultry voice over of selected excerpts with evocative imagery. Through layered visuals and cinematic pacing, it creates a surreal, seductive atmosphere that captures the emotional intensity and sensual tone of her storytelling.
The Keirin
I shot and edited this video covering the Keirin, a high speed track cycling event where riders sprint for victory behind a paced start. Filmed during the Pro Series race at Dick Lane Velodrome in Atlanta, the piece captures the intensity, strategy, and explosive final laps that define this thrilling discipline.
Ikigai
I wrote, produced, and directed this short documentary centered on rock climbing, sharing my personal story to inspire greater representation and visibility within the Black community. Through the lens of climbing, the film promotes inclusion, resilience, and environmental awareness while encouraging broader access to outdoor spaces.
Sleep For Wakefulness
Sleep for Wakefulness is an experimental concept exploring the liminal state between life and death. Conceived as a companion to a feature length screenplay, it examines how we perceive and experience our existence when consciousness begins to unravel, blurring memory, identity, and reality into a shifting psychological landscape.
Dick Lane
I shot and edited this interview with Dick Lane, set against the backdrop of the velodrome that bears his name. Built in 1974 after a group of local residents and City officials were inspired by the Munich Olympics, the track has become a community hub for cycling. Special thanks to Jeff Hopkins and Josephine Wicker for their support and contributions to this project.
BBQ Boogie Blues
I shot this video capturing T-Bone as he slow smoked a spread of incredible meats while preparing for an upcoming BBQ competition. From fall off the bone ribs to rich pulled pork and thick cut bacon, the piece highlights the craft, patience, and pride behind his backyard feast.
